Lithothamn comes from a red algae belonging to Corallinaceae family. The algae enriches itself in menrals and trace elements and calcified buds appear on its thallus. At death, the algae lose its colour and only the skeleton remains. That marine skeleton is called « lithothamn ».

Bioavailable minerals and trace elements source, LITH’O is composed of minerals, including calcium at more than 30%, in carbonate form. LITH’O is also a valuable source of magnesium and trace elements, as selenium which intervenes in immune system functioning.

Anti-acidity action
LITH’O is a naturally basic product, with a pH about 9, which made it a very interesting ingredient for ruminal acidosis management. Furthermore, lithothamn has a specific mineral structure which reinforces this action.
